Friday’s openings: Choose your brand of horror

Looks like a bit of movie horror is coming the nation's way on Friday. According to the national movie-release schedule, we can expect to see the following:

"The Meg": A monster from the deep, a 70-foot-long shark, emerges to feed on unwary beachgoers. Big jaws.

"The Slender Man": When a young teen girl goes missing, her friends investigate … and meet the Slender Man. Yeah, based on a video game …

"BlacKkKlansman": Spike Lee's new film, based on the real-life experience of a black many who infiltrated and became the head of his local KKK chapter. Get out!
