UPDATE THURSDAY 7/21

– Oskar Blues' Beerito amber lager, Gubna imperial IPA, G'Knight imperial red IPA and Old Chub Scotch ale will pour for a tasting Friday from 4 to 7 at the Coeur d'Alene Growler Guys.

 

UPDATE WEDNESDAY 7/20

– The list of beers for today's Double Mountain tap takeover starting at 6 at The Steel Barrel has been updated to seven – Vaporizer Pale; the Hop Lava, Clusterf#ck single-hop and Pale Death Belgian IPAs; IRA (India red ale); Moon Patrol Russian imperial stout and the first keg of Molten Lava Imperial IPA ever tapped in Washington – plus the brewery's Jumpin' Jack Flash Heirloom Cider. 

 

UPDATES TUESDAY 7/19

– A Strawberry Rhubarb Pale Ale will be Wednesday's weekly small-batch release at Daft Badger.

– The North Spokane Growler Guys hosts Paradise Creek for a tasting Thursday from 5 to 8.

– Selkirk Abbey will be featured in this Thursday's brew cruise by Hayden Lake Cruises; tickets are $39 (includes beer and hors d'oeuvres), through the website.

– The Steam Plant releases its new Wild Strawberry Sour on Friday, brewed with 270 pounds of hand-pureed berries.

 

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

MONDAY

– Hunga Dunga Brewing opens for business today in Moscow, with food service starting at 5 p.m.; hours will be 4 p.m. to late daily.

– Red Guitar Red (formerly Valley Red) is the beer of the week at Twelve String, with $4 pints and $8 growler fills; get the same pricing on the last two Christmas in July beers still pouring, Roundabout Confusion and Twelve Strings of Winter.

THURSDAY

– Five Diamond Knot offerings are lined up for a tap takeover Thursday from 5 to 7 at Steady Flow Growler House.

– Georgetown's L.A. Woman Crystal Kolsch, Roger's Pilsner, Bodhizafa IPA and Porter will be tapped for a pint night from 6 to 8 at Crafted in Coeur d'Alene.

FRIDAY

– A sour festival Friday and Saturday at Pints Alehouse will include kegs of 2013 Bruery Oude Tart, 2016 De Proefbrouwerij Sour Barrel #3, 2016 Hair of the Dog/De Proef Flanders Fred, 2016 Almanac Wakatu, 2014 Firestone Walker Aggrestic, 2016 Avery Raspberry Sour, 2015 Rodenbach Grand Cru, 2015 Pelican Cherry Poppin’ Dory and 2015 Bear Republic Tartare, plus special prices on all bottled sours.

– The collaboration beers from New Belgium's 25th-anniversary Fat Tire & Friends mixed pack – Allagash Fat Funk, Avery Fat Wild, Hopworks Fat Sour Apple, Firestone Walker Fat Hoppy and Rhinegeist Fat Pale – will be featured in a tasting starting at 5 at Bottles, with a newly opened patio and the Couple of Chefs food truck on hand.

SATURDAY

– River City's Christmas in July returns for a second summer from 2 to 10 p.m. with food trucks, live music, games, Santa photos and plenty of cellared winter beers.
