– Bellwether is offering a series of small-batch Grafs (beer/cider hybrids) through the month, beginning this week with a hopless Winter Apple gruit (7.2 percent alcohol by volume) brewed with mugwort, basil, spearmint, sage and juniper.  

– Wednesday's small-batch release at Daft Badger is dubbed Hefty Vessel Two, The Hops Strike Back (11.2 percent ABV), liberally hopped with Warrior and Simcoe.

  

A look ahead at the first full week of the new year in local craft beer:

– The beer-cider hybrid known as Graf is the focus of No-Li's weekly Brewsday Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 

– The downtown Onion, which recently added the Area 51 Taphouse concept that started at its sister North Division restaurant, will have its first Meet Your Maker night on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with the No-Li crew.

– Four sours will star in The Blackbird's second monthly Flight Night on Thursday at 6 p.m.: Cascade's 2013 Figaro (fig/lemon peel) and Noyaux (raspberry/toasted apricot), and The Bruery's 2015 Sour in the Rye and Oude Tart red. A flight of 4-ounce pours is $18, with refills available.

– Nectar Wine and Beer introduces its January brewery of the month, Boise's Payette, with a tasting Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Payette's North Fork Lager, Fression wet hop session IPA, regular Rustler IPA, Slaughterhouse India Red Ale, Mutton Buster Brown and 12 Gauge Imperial Stout will be around all month; get a flight for $10.

– Deschutes will be featured Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Growler Guys in Coeur d'Alene, with Chasin' Freshies fresh-hop IPA, Hop Henge imperial IPA, The Stoic barrel-aged Belgian-style quad and The Abyss barrel-aged imperial stout on tap.  

– Big Sky's Moose Drool brown, Slow Elk oatmeal stout and Ivan the Terrible imperial stout will be pouring at a brewery event Friday from 5 to 8 at the North Spokane Growler Guys

– For those who have trouble keeping track, Fairfield's Zythum, open only the second weekend of each month through March, will be in operation Friday and Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6.

– And with the holidays officially over, River City is offering $2 pints through Sunday for those who work at retail or hospitality jobs in honor of their service during the demanding season.
