Some odds and ends from the past week in local craft beer that you might have overlooked while ringing in 2016:

– Several area breweries have announced new hours for the new year, including:

238: Friday 5-8 p.m., Saturday 1-5, Sundays by appointment only.

Badass Backyard: Now open every Saturday, 4-8 (previously the first and third Saturdays only).

Budge Brothers: Open again on Tuesdays, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Paradise Creek: Monday-Thursday 4-10, Friday-Saturday noon-11, Sunday noon-9.

– Rants & Raves Brewery opened on New Year’s Day in Moscow as a restaurant/pub, and is awaiting federal licensing approval before beginning to brew its own beer.

– Orlison’s downtown location has joined the ranks of local brewery taprooms using a Randall for flavor-infused beers, with Havanüther pilsner over habanero peppers and cherries as an initial offering.

– Leavenworth’s Icicle Brewing has begun canning its flagship Bootjack IPA, working with Spokane’s Spokes Mobile Canning.
