UPDATE FRIDAY 5/22

– Black Label has tapped a hearty Sebastian Maiboch spring lager (6.8 percent alcohol by volume, 21 International Bitterness Units).

– River City's Randall for the weekend is huckleberry ale through strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.

 

UPDATE TUESDAY 4/19

– Daft Badger's weekly Wednesday small-batch release is a big Belgian-style wit (7 percent alcohol by volume). 

  

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

MONDAY

– Batch 201 IPA is the beer of the week at Twelve String, with $1 off pints and growler fills.

FRIDAY

– Post Falls Brewing has its grand opening starting at 2 p.m., and continuing Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and Sunday at noon.

– Thirty breweries and cideries from the Northwest and beyond will be pouring at the Leavenworth Ale-Fest on Friday and Saturday; advance tickets are $20/Friday, $25/Saturday, $35/both days ($25/$30/$40 at the door), which includes your first three 5-ounce samples (extras $2 each).

SATURDAY

– Bennidito's has live music in the parking lot from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of the afterparty from that morning's Cleaning From the Corridor volunteer effort along East Sprague.

– The latest installment of the Brew Run Run pub jog leaves from the garbage goat in Riverfront Park at 1 p.m. and continues to several breweries before finishing up at the Steam Plant.   

– Tables are sold out, but standing tickets still are available for this year's Micros for Mamas starting at 6 at the Western Aviation hangar at Felts Field, featuring beers from Big Barn, Black Label, English Setter, Orlison, Paradise Creek, Perry Street, River City, Steam Plant, Wallace and Waddell's, plus One Tree and D's Wicked hard cider. Tickets are $40, which includes six tasting coupons plus appetizers, dinner, live music and silent and live auctions; proceeds benefit Spokane YoungLives, which supports teen mothers.
