A look ahead at the local week in craft beer:

– Scratch Bistro in Coeur d’Alene, in conjunction with the adjoining Filling Station on 5th, is serving a three-course pairing menu featuring No-Li beers (and including them in the recipes) from Thursday through Sunday. Look for a poached pear and arugula salad accompanied by Brass Monkey, slow-braised beef short ribs with Born & Raised IPA, and chocolate truffle cake with Rise & Grind coffee stout; cost is $36 (each course also available a la carte). A brewery rep will be on hand for a tap takeover at the Filling Station on Thursday at 4, including the Sleeve Tan dry-hopped farmhouse and Rise & Grind infused with chocolate and vanilla.

– On Thursday at 6 p.m., local breweries and bands are participating in Rocket Market’s celebration of the reopening of the roads leading to the beer-savvy South Hill store. Proceeds support Northwest Beyond the Yellow Ribbon’s efforts to assist wildfire victims.

– The North and Valley Total Wine locations welcome the unofficial first week of fall with a tasting of seasonal styles from pumpkin ales to Oktoberfests on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; cost is $15.

– The Steam Plant on Friday taps its annual Oktoberfest, full of Munich malt and noble hops.

– The Lantern Tap House presents Sours 'N September from Friday through Sunday in conjunction with the Perry Street Shakedown music festival, featuring a rotating lineup of 18 sour beers from breweries local, regional and beyond.

– Iron Goat’s yearly SpoHop hop picking party starts Saturday at 11 a.m. at the brewery. Bring your homegrown hops, or just come and pick them off the vines; a fresh hop beer will be brewed with them that same day, and all who participate will get half-price pints once it’s released.

– Hopped Up’s third annual Art, Music and Beer festival, originally scheduled for Aug. 22 but postponed because of air quality issues, returns on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

As always, keep coming here for more information on everything that’s happening throughout the week.
