SCBW: Day 7

Rick Bonino

And so the first official Spokane Craft Beer Week ends, not with a bang, but with … well, a few more events for those still left standing:

– Big Barn on Green Bluff is pouring the Waddell’s/Wallace Brewing SMaSH Bock collaboration along with 11 of its own beers, including the Flower Power lavender-rye IPA collab, plus live music by Jazz Northwest starting at 2 p.m.

– Up north, Republic Brewing is serving a seven-course Taste of Republic dinner at 7 p.m. featuring food from local restaurants paired with the house beers. Cost is $30, including tax and tip; call (509) 775-2700 for reservations.

– Also to the north, Newport’s Top Frog – currently a production brewery with occasional public hours, though a taproom is in the works – is doing growler fills of its 11 beers from 3 to 8 p.m.

– And if you’ve had your fill of beer and want to try something different, the North Spokane Total Wine is hosting One Tree Hard Cider for a tasting from 1 to 4 p.m.

Thanks for following our coverage of Craft Beer Week, and let’s do it again next year!
