(UPDATED WEDNESDAY 7/22)

A look ahead at the upcoming week in craft beer around these parts:

– Boise’s Payette Brewing is being introduced to the Spokane market at a pair of pint nights, with brewery representatives on hand from 5 to 7 on Wednesday at The Lantern Tap House and Thursday at Saranac Public House. Look for the Rodeo Rye Pale, Mutton Buster Brown, Rustler (formerly Outlaw) IPA and a special Blood Orange IPA at the Lantern, with pints or taster trays for $4; and $4 pints of the regular pale, Fly Line Vienna Lager and the two IPAs at Saranac.

– Wednesday's weekly small-batch Year of the Goat offering at Iron Goat is a Graff (5.5 percent alcohol by volume, 24 International Bitterness Units), a beer-cider hybrid made with an oatmeal pale ale recipe and Tom Putt apple juice from Liberty Ciderworks.

– The new Krushin the Kolsch from Waddell’s makes its debut at a tapping party Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at JJ’s Grill and Brewhouse.

– River City will be featured in a pint night Wednesday from 5 to 7 at Lounge Fly in Post Falls, with four beers on tap and swag giveaways.

– Stone Brewing is doing pint nights Wednesday at Republic Pi, featuring Ruination 2.0 and four other specialty beers; and Thursday from 4 to 9 at The Filling Station on 5th in Coeur d'Alene with Ruination, Ruinten and Double Bastard on tap, plus merchandise giveaways and drawings for six filled growlers.

– And on Saturday, River City celebrates Christmas in July starting at 3 p.m. with eight hearty leftovers from last winter, including limited quantities of Congratulator Eisbock and Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout (one 8-ounce pour per person of each, as supplies last). Bring in a new, boxed toy for Toys For Tots and get a coupon for $2 off a regular pint.
