SpIFF opener miffs the government of Laos
Less than 48 hours are left before opening night of the 2014 edition of the Spokane International Film Festival. The opening-night movie, "The Rocket," will play at 7 p.m. Thursday at AMC River Park Square. If you didn't have reason to purchase tickets before now, consider this: The film was banned in Laos, the very country in which it is set.
