1602 E. Sherman Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID
The venerable Moon Time is one of Coeur d’Alene’s pioneering craft beer bars, along with Capone’s, and the first in a steadily growing group of sister establishments in both North Idaho and Spokane (Elk, Porch, Two-Seven, Geno’s). While trendier places have come along, it retains its laid-back vibe in a relatively quiet stretch east of downtown, with large planters outside and British pub posters and signs inside, as well as dart boards. The 20 taps behind the copper-topped bar, including two nitro and a cask handle, are largely devoted to craft beers from the region and beyond. Twelve- and 16-ounce pours are available, with $1 pints from a selected keg on Thursday nights. Like the traditional pub-centric décor, the menu is familiar from the Moon Time’s related restaurants, including the original Moon Burger, 74th St. Gumbo and Thai-style Swimming Angel; the Mediterranean Lamb Burger is a favorite among regulars.
