A series of readings, conversations, tutorials and demonstrations hosted by the Spokesman-Review and the Northwest Passages Book Club. Sept. 6: 11 a.m., Storytime with Dr. Mary Cullinan, President of EWU, Blake Jensen, KHQ Weather Anchor, Julia Ditto, S-R Columnist, Chief Craig Meidl, Lilac City Live hosts Ryan Dean Tucker and Sean Glasow, Mayor David Condon and S-R Editor, Rob Curley; Noon: Discussion with Spokesman-Review’s John Stucke and notables in the Washington agriculture industry; 1 p.m.: Discussions with local legislators; 2 p.m. Stories behind iconic Spokesman-Review photos and advice on how to take photos, even on your phone. Sept. 9: 2 p.m., News meeting with S-R editors; 3 p.m., A look at the design and illustrations of the S-R; 4 p.m., See the S-R design editor build tomorrow’s front page; 5 p.m., Possible on-stage interviews with Restless Heart or Shenandoah with editor Rob Curley. Sept. 10: 2 p.m., Cooking demo with Chef Jaime Aquino from The Kitchen Engine; 3 p.m. Food-eating contest with local celebrities, athletes and journalists; 4 p.m., “Newspapers in the Movies” with Rob Curley; 5 p.m., Possible on-stage interview with Trace Adkins with features editor Don Chareunsy. Sept. 11: 2 p.m., talk Cougs and Zags, and high school football, with The S-R sports staff; 3 p.m., History of Fairchild Air Force Base, with interview with base commander and Rob Curley; 4 p.m. East Valley High School choir performance; 5 p.m.: Possible on-stage interview with Foreigner with editor Rob Curley.
