Nothing says “I love you” quite like a big, wet lickery kiss. With that in mind we happily announce the winner of our latest Fabulocity photo contest: “Love At First Lick,” submitted by Ken B. of Clarkston. The beautiful blonde pooch in this shot has a tongue that puts Scooby Doo to shame.

Judging left us googly-eyed. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who showed us the love. We hope you’ll enjoy your 7 towel (to wipe up excess doggy drool perhaps?) or to lounge on the beach this summer.

We can’t wait to see what you send us next … we’ll announce another photo contest next week.

To be clear, we’re not looking for a Princess Bride-esque Wesley-canoodles-Buttercup- type kiss: “Since the invention of the kiss, there have only been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind.”

We’re hoping to see something a little more along the lines of Snoopy-licks-Lucy Van Pelt: “Auugh! I’ve been kissed by a dog! I have dog germs! Get some hot water! Get some disinfectant! Get some iodine!”

Lip-to-lip. Mouth-to-cheek. Tongue-to-cheek, if you’re into that. Even cross-species smooches accepted (everybody loves a little dog-on-cat action). Just don’t send us shots that’ll make us blush (our mothers read this thing, for pity’s sake), or make you lament capturing the moment with a regret that runs deeper than tattoo ink.

A committee of kissing connoisseurs will give all the shots a once-over, and the kiss that causes us coo at its cuteness … the smooch that surprises us with its sappiness … the pucker that promote platonic perfection – will take the cake. OK, so we’re fresh out of cake. But we will present you with something cool from the 7 archives.

We’ll choose a winner on Tuesday, Feb. 16, so send in your entries before midnight on Monday. Include a line or two of backstory with your photo, and include your email address so we’ll have a way to contact you when you win.
