Capsule review:

The surprising thing is that Luke Perry is so good in this bio-pic of Lane Frost, the ex-rodeo star who at 25 was the reigning world bull riding champion. Although the treatment delivered by director John G. Avildsen doesn't go too deep (not as deep, even, as Avildsen's two biggest hits, ``Rocky'' and ``The Karate Kid''), it does have its moments. Most surround Perry, who seems for the first time capable of breaking from his ``Beverly Hills 90210'' typecasting. Stephen Baldwin and Cynthia Geary (``Northern Exposure'') are also good.
