Admission to the park includes all rides, attractions and shows. May: Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., through May 18; May 24-25 and 31, 11 a.m.-8 p.m., May 26, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Special events: May 3-4, $19.99/person to celebrate Tremors roller coaster opening in 1999. May 10-11, Moms admitted free and rest of family admitted for $19.99/person; May 13, Physics Day; May 14, Science Day; May 17-18, Season Celebration Day, general admission $21 at the gate only; May 24-26, American Heroes Weekend, all military personnel, police officers and firefighters with ID receive free admission to the park and immediate family members are half price general admission at the front gate.
Spokane Asthma Walk and Lung Health Expo
Presented by Safeco Insurance. Funds raised will support research for new cures and treatments for lung disease, as well as programs aimed at asthma education for children and adults. Expo and check-in from 8:30-9:45 a.m., 5K walk starts at 10 a.m.
Spokane Lilac Festival Armed Forces Torchlight Parade
70th annual event with Lilac queen and princesses, floats, school bands and more. The 2008 theme is "Salute to Service." Support the Festival by purchasing a themed pin for $5, available at many local retailers.
