Spokane Symphony Classics 5: Dvorak and Rachmaninoff

Jan. 19-20. Featuring Eckart Preu, conductor, Mateusz Wolski, violin, and the Spokane Symphony Chorale. Spokane Symphony Concertmaster Mateusz Wolski will perform another great work from the violin repertoire: Dvorvák’s Violin Concerto. Rachmaninoff’s choral symphony, The Bells, loosely based on a poem by Edgar Allan Poe, is considered by many to be one of his great masterpieces. Program includes music from Aguila, Dvorak and Rachmaninoff. Showtime is Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
