One of the best kept secrets for music lovers in Spokane is the chance to watch top notch musicians teach master classes. Most classes are free to attend. Chinese violinist Mira Wang will perform the U.S. premiere of Torsten Rasch’s “Tropoi” Violin Concerto. This concert also includes Rimsky-Korsakov’s blockbuster, Scheherazade. Before her weekend of concerts, Wang will conduct a master class at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox for four lucky local violin students who auditioned for this once-in-a-lifetime chance to get master instruction in technique and performance. The master class is free and open to the public to observe. Don’t miss this chance to get to know Mira Wang before her performances, and learn more about the violin.
