Aug. 25. International theater artist and activist Marco Magoa gives a free performance about the Syrian refuge crisis. Magoa has lived in Arab countries for many years and his play, “Mare Nostrum. Finis Somnia Vestra” (Our Sea. The End of Your Dreams) brings to life a young man seeking asylum in Europe and his desperate, three-day open sea journey from Libya to Italy. Written and directed by Magoa, “Mare Nostrum” is the third part of a trilogy that has been presented on three continents. Performance tickets are free and available at BookPeople of Moscow and at the door an hour before curtain, while supplies last.
