Powerful Tools for Caregivers 6 Week Class
Fridays from April 7-May 12 from 4:30-6 p.m. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week educational program designed to help unpaid family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative, partner or friend with a chronic illness or disability. The focus is on YOU, the caregiver and will give you invaluable tools, skills and confidence! This class meets once a week for six weeks, and are taught by certified class leaders. Topics include: relaxation; communicating effectively with other family members, your doctor and paid help; taking care of yourself; reducing guilt, anger, stress and depression; making tough decisions and setting goals and problem solving.
