2012 viewing show as the Civil War rages, America’s 16th president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield and disagrees fiercely with many of his own cabinet members about the decision to emancipate the slaves. Introduction by Ron White, a former Whitworth professor and university chaplain, writer for The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times, and best-selling author of “A. Lincoln: A Biography” (2009). White currently serves as a fellow at the Huntington Library, in San Marino, Calif.
