Aug. 17, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” A younger and more reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out on an “unexpected journey” to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of Dwarves to reclaim their stolen mountain home from a dragon named Smaug. Rated PG-13. Aug. 24, “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. brings together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki and his army. Rated PG-13.
