Go Red For Women Luncheon
February 6, 2013-February 6, 2013
The 2013 Spokane Go Red For Women Luncheon creates an energetic and informative atmosphere that encourages women to become champions of their own health. The goal is to educate and empower women in the Spokane community to practice a heart healthy lifestyle. The event is locally presented by Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Holy Family Hospital and locally sponsored by Rockwood and Sterling Savings Bank. The day includes a silent auction, educational health sessions, keynote speaker, survivor stories and a heart healthy lunch. Heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death among women today, yet only eight percent cite it as a health concern. Heart disease kills approximately 450,000 women each year, equaling about one per minute. Keynote is “The Funny Thing About Stress” with introduction and remarks from Go Red for Women 2013 chair, Catherine Greer, Executive Director, Connect Northwest. Don’t forget to wear your red!
