Sponsored by the American Composers Forum, features the work of local artists and composers who have partnered to create one-night art galleries in Spokane and Minneapolis, exhibiting work related to the current state of the education system in the United States. These artists hope to spark discussion of charter schools, homeschooling, and more generally, whether the current school system works and, if so, for whom? The issues raised by the artwork featured at this event will be discussed in a moderated open forum in each gallery space. 2-3 p.m., Open Gallery; 3-4 p.m.: live performances; 4-5 p.m.: Discussion of Education Reform, moderated by Jennifer Garrison Stuber. Artists and composers include Tiffany M. Skidmore, Katherine Kennedy Balfour, Jeffery Kyle Hutchins, Benjamin Klein, Paul Swarzkopf, Rachel Becquer, Debra Fitzsimmons, Mustafa Dedeoglu and Chelsea Cordova. A no-host bar serving local wine and beer will also be available.
