Celebrate National Trails Day by sinking a shovel into fresh dirt of the Little Spokane River Natural Area and making a section of trail your own. The Knothead Trail currently runs into private property and the goal of this project is to redirect that portion of the trail onto State Park land. This family-friendly project is open to volunteers of all ages and abilities. The first 130 volunteers to sign up will receive a coveted REI t-shirt. This project can count towards 24 volunteer hours required to earn a FREE Discover Pass. Log on to discoverpass.wa.gov and look under “Exemptions” to find out more.
