Cheyenne elder and storyteller, Grandmother Margaret Behan, well known for her work with the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers Council, brings teachings that give us courage to use our voices to tell a new story. She will speak on the importance of story in our cultural experience, and particularly in women’s experience. She will also share excerpts from her documentary film “The Ride Home.” In her healing work, Grandmother Margaret says, “I must share myself with everybody.” For information regarding other events in the Spokane/Sandpoint area with Grandmother Margaret, contact Sandra Meade, 509-447-2693 or scotiahouse@povn.com. Presented by Women’s Studies Center.
