In 2002 actress, writer, director, and producer, Crystal Chappell won an Emmy Award for outstanding supporting actress in daytime drama for her work as Olivia. She was nominated again in the same category in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, she earned her first nomination in the outstanding lead actress category. Chappell received international acclaim for her performance on CBS-TVs Guiding Light in the groundbreaking “Otalia” storyline in which two women unexpectedly fall in love. Currently appearing in CBS-TVs Bold and Beautiful, Ms. Chappell has been a visible ally for the LGBTQ community and is using her new media company, Open Book Productions to create and produce web-based series that feature openly gay and lesbian characters.
