Mohamed Abla, considered Egypt’s leading contemporary artist, will give a free talk followed by a reception and an exhibit of some of the artist’s paintings. Globally respected as an activist for freedom, democracy and human rights, Abla played an active part in the demonstrations that led to the Egyptian Revolution and in the ongoing demonstrations since then through his involvement in public art.
