“Hope in Hard Times: Washington During the Great Depression,” Washington State has seen its share of hard times, from the Great Depression, to the challenges of today. Uncomfortable economics have always forced people to get creative, finding ways to maintain quality of life in the midst of difficulty. To celebrate the brave and ingenious people of the Great Depression and the present, Spokane County Library District is hosting this traveling exhibit curated by Humanities Washington, April 12-June 30. Hours are Mondays-Thursdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Fridays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays, 1-5 p.m.
