The program will include lively spirituals and gospel music, old hymn favorites like “Beautiful Savior,” newer compositions like Ola Gjeilo’s “Serenity” and other selections including composers J.S. Bach, Alexander Sheremetev, and Kurt Bestor. They will also be singing original choral a cappella songs written by their director, Aaron Zinter, and composition student, Jeffrey Lackmann. Oak Grove Lutheran School is in its 108th year of integrating Christian faith and learning in Fargo, North Dakota. The student body numbers nearly 500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The 44-voice Concert Choir consists of juniors and seniors selected by audition. There is also a 12-member Madrigal Ensemble within the Concert Choir. The Oak Grove Concert Choir performs quality choral literature at a high level of artistry and spirit.
