July 29-30. Fairchild Air Force Base is planning an open house and air show. This two-day event will feature the Thunderbirds, the U.S. Air Force’s premiere aerial demonstration team performing each day from 3-3:30 p.m. In addition to the Thunderbirds, the show will also include standing and flying demonstrations from a variety of military and civilian aircraft, parachuting and more. Gates open daily at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Firearms, weapons, fireworks, and drones will not be permitted into the event. Additionally, drugs of any kind, including marijuana, are not allowed on federal property. air show guests must consent to security searches and all backpacks and bags will be checked upon entry. Air show attendees are permitted to bring in coolers with food and nonalcoholic beverages. Bring a camera!
