Feb. 10 events: MFA Student Open Mic, 4-5 p.m., listen to UI MFA creative writing candidates read from their original poetry, fiction and nonfiction, at One World Café, 533 S. Main St., free; Hemingway Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction, 5-8:30 p.m., enjoy no-host bar, dinner and a silent auction, $85/person, available at BookPeople of Moscow; Feb. 11 events: 4-5 p.m., Talk by Hemingway Review editor Suzanne Del Gizzo at BookPeople of Moscow, 521 S. Main St., free; “To Have and Have Not,” starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, in a classic film is based on Hemingway’s novel of the same name. A question and answer session will follow, 7:30 p.m. at Kenworthy Performing Arts Center, 508 S. Main St.; Feb. 12 events: Reading by Kevin Powers, the Hemingway Foundation and PEN Award-Winner author reads from “The Yellow Birds,” 7:30 p.m. at Kenworthy, free; Festival Reception, 9-10:30 p.m., at Gnosh, 215 S. Main St., no-host public event and author Kevin Powers will be available for meet and greet.
