This month’s selection is “Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever” by Bill O’Reilly. America’s Civil War finally came to an end in 1865. President Abraham Lincoln negotiated generous terms for Robert E. Lee’s surrender, which were intended to fulfill Lincoln’s dream of healing the divided nation. Instead, the terms inflamed the wounds of others, leading to several court-ordered executions, a chase ending in a shootout and his assassination.
