Harrison Lake Hike

August 3, 2013

For the amount of effort required, there is not a much more rewarding hike within the Selkirks than this 2.3 mile hike into Harrison Lake. Though the trail can be steep at times, the distance makes it quite accessible for families and hikers of all abilities. The trail follows an old logging road for a mile then climbs through hemlock and spruce, crosses giant slabs of granite and ends at the stunning granite rimmed lake. There are excellent views along the way of The Beehive, Bottleneck Peak and Roman Nose. There will most likely still be some snow at the lake as the high cliffs protect these snowfields from the sun.
