The Heart Turned Toward God ~ A Silent, Contemplative Retreat Weekend

June 7, 2013-June 9, 2013

Gregory the Great described contemplation as “resting in God.” In this weekend retreat you are invited into some solitude time to grow in your spiritual life and nourish the seeds of contemplation within. This contemplative retreat offers time for silence from your busy life as well as reflective prayer with others. There will also be the opportunity to incorporate some experiences that foster contemplative living in the everyday. Take some time away to “rest in God,” to deepen your prayer and refresh your soul. This retreat day will be facilitated by Sr. Patricia Novak, OSF, the Spirituality/Healing Arts Program Director for the Franciscan Place at St. Joseph Family Center. Sr. Patricia has been a Sister of St. Francis of Philadelphia for over thirty years and is a certified Spiritual Director. Sister Patricia has led a number of retreats at The Franciscan Place as well as facilitating the Thomas Merton “Bridges to Contemplative Living” series at TFP. Register by June 1.
