Oct. 26-27. The Spokane Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Music Director Eckart Preu, will guide you on four wonderful paths. Mendelssohn’s “Reformation” Symphony outlines the cultural and political. Bruckner’s Psalm 150 celebrates the biblical origin of the symphony orchestra. The angelic voice of soprano Dawn Wolski gives us the timelessness of music Tavener’s Song of the Angel. The Spokane Symphony Chorale and baritone Eugene Brancoveanu will bring us Frenchman Gabriel Faure’s intensely personal and human setting of the Requiem, creating heaven on earth. A pre-concert talk about the music will be held in the hall one hour before each performance. Eckart Preu, conductor. Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m.
