With his older brother headed to war, teenager Homer Macauley takes a job delivering telegrams to help his widowed mother make ends meet. Amidst his youthful rites of passage, Homer grows up quickly, as his new job brings him face-to-face with families who have lost sons in the war. This movie continues the library’s film series “Hollywood Goes to War.”
