In this report, Alena Rudenka, PhD, Belarus Fulbright Scholar, will share some statistical data about Belarus and women’s lives in Belarus. Anthropologic, social, historical specificity of Belarus is discussed. What kinds of work and what education do Belarusian women have? Have they the same social freedoms as men? What do they think about freedom? Rudenka concludes by interpreting the results of psycho-linguistic experiments on the understanding of freedom by men and women. Sponsored by EWU Women’s Studies Center.
