Irish Lecture and Lunch

Kerry Lynch, President of the Spokane-Limerick Sister City Society will be presenting with her husband, Jack Geraghty, former President of The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and a founding Limerick Board member. Kerry was honored by The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick as the Irish Woman of the Year several years ago and both her daughters were the Irish Colleen. She has been to Ireland dozens of times and her family is one of the original 9 Tribes of Galway City, Ireland. Jack’s grandfather emigrated from Ireland in the late 1800’s. His family is from Bellmullet Peninsula on the far west coast of Ireland. Jack has also travelled extensively in Ireland. They will be talking about Ireland before and after the Celtic Tiger. Lunch follows at noon with Irish Soda Bread, Corn Beef and Cabbage and an oatmeal apple crumble with a whiskey cream sauce.
