“Overcoming Habituation: Art and Psychology”
By Tony Osborne, professor of communication arts at Gonzaga University. The public lecture will be followed by a public reception; both events are free (seating is limited). The events are part of Gonzaga University’s 125th Anniversary, which the Jundt Art Museum is celebrating with the exhibit “Tradition and Transformation: Works from the Permanent Collection.” Professor Osborne will show slides of pieces from antiquity to the present – including works from Gonzaga’s Permanent Collection – that affirm the humanistic ideal of polyphony or dialogue.
