This talk will highlight research being done at EWU on “friends with benefits relationships” (FWBR). EWU psychology students, with their advisor professor Theresa J. Martin, PhD, will be reviewing final results from a study investigating Machiavellianism and other personality traits and attitudes toward FWBR relationships along with key points and findings from current literature and describing the rationale and issues for their study. They will also present findings from our ongoing study regarding experiences in FWBRs including the negotiation techniques of FWBRs and how these partnerships are initiated.
