On Attention: Portal to the Natural World

To start Inland Northwest Land Trust’s Speaker Series, Dr. Paul Lindholdt will read an essay entitled “On Attention” from his book “In Earshot of Water.” Close attention, Dr. Lindholdt believes, is a portal to the natural world and he will focus on the optical phenomenon known as the green flash to illustrate the habit of attention. Inland Northwest Land Trust works with willing private landowners to protect the region’s natural lands, waters, and working farms and forests for the benefit of wildlife, our community and future generations.
