“Transformational Partnership: Gonzaga and Sunnyside High School”

By Gonzaga University School of Education associate professor Dr. Charles Salina. Through a focus on academics, social support and relational trust, the three-year initiative led by Dr. Salina and GU colleagues has transformed the struggling high school and re-established a culture of learning. The partnership also is influencing how University students are preparing for teaching careers. Guests from Sunnyside will accompany Dr. Salina. The event, sponsored by the Greater Gonzaga Guild, is free and open to the public.
