“The Mosaics of Zeugma on the Euphrates”

In 2000, before the city of Zeugma was submerged by a new Turkish dam, archaeologists found magnificent mosaics which adorned the houses of the city’s elite. This talk by Dr. Kathryn Dunbabin looks at these mosaics in their context and considers them as evidence for the culture of the individuals who made and looked at them.
