“Secret Spokane - Center of the Cold War”

The MAC and Honor Point Military & Aerospace Museum have teamed up to explore this hidden episode in the region’s history and explain Spokane’s role in this significant historical event. The exhibit marks the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis and will feature a recreated Atlas missile launch control room, historic photos of the nine missile sites that used to ring Spokane and a Nike missile that used to protect Fairchild Air Force Base and its nuclear ready B-52s, Oct. 17-27. Hours are Wednesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
