June 23-24. Amateur Radio preparedness exercise . “Field Day” has taken place every June since 1933. The “Hams” set up a temporary station in the “field,” then make contact with many other stations with similar setups during the 24-hour event period beginning Saturday at 11 a.m. This is an opportunity for those interested in science and technology to see a “Ham” station in action, visitors may be invited to take a turn at the microphone.
