Myrtle Peak Hike

Join the Idaho Conservation League for this hike, which offers stunning views of the Selkirk Mountains, including Lion’s Head, Kent Lake, Myrtle’s Turtle, Harrison Peak and more. There is an option to descend to Myrtle Lake, situated about 1,000 feet below and northeast of the summit. One of the largest lakes in the Selkirks, Myrtle Lake is stocked with cutthroat trout. Distance: 6 miles roundtrip to Myrtle Peak, with 1800 ft elevation gain. 9 miles roundtrip if you continue on to Myrtle Lake. Difficulty: Moderately difficult; Suitable for hardy kids 10-years and older with considerable hiking experience.
