Dr. Daniel Schaffer is a retired Group Health Urgent Care physician who ended his career in occupational medicine. In 1981 he joined other physicians to form the Spokane Minor Emergency Center which became First Care Med Centers. Dr. Schaffer received his medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, interned at Rose Medical Center in Denver where he worked in outpatient and emergency room positions, then moved to Wyoming to serve as director of emergency services. He also worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center in emergency services
