Spokane Festival of Speed
New this year is the German Car Challenge race, pitting motorsports titans Porsche and BMW in a struggle for Teutonic supremacy. Meet Allen Grant, an original driver for the Shelby American Racing Team that won the 1964-65 World Sports Car Championships. Driving the Cobra Daytona Coupe – ‘the greatest American sports car’ - he defeated the previously dominant Ferrari Racing Team. Donations and spectator admission proceeds will help bring the non-profit Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation’s first ever ‘Inland Northwest HOPE for Parkinson’s Conference’ to Spokane.
