Sacred Salmon Ceremony
An annual event conducted by Horace Axtel, elder of the Nez Perce Tribe, to welcome the salmon home from their long journey from the ocean back to their spawning grounds, and to give thanks to the fish and the Salmon River for the gifts we receive from both.
