Feb. 23-24. One of brightest young stars of the guitar world today, guitarist Jason Vieaux has already performed with more than 50 major orchestras in the U.S. and abroad. He will join the Spokane Symphony for an exotic night of Spanish music. As you hear the sounds, you will be transported to the Aranjuez gardens, an 18th-century palace just outside Madrid, where you will smell the alluring fragrance of flowers, hear the song of colorful birds and feel the gentle breeze from the countryside. This Spanish extravaganza will come to a brilliant finale with Rimsky-Korsakov’s magnificent Capriccio Espagnol. Eckart Preu, conductor. Part of the Classics series. Performances Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
