Monument Dedication
The Spokane Law Enforcement Museum and SPD History Book Committee announce a special ceremony to dedicate a monument in honor of an extraordinary early-day Spokane Police Department Jail Matron, Mary Caroline Davidson Seymour, who served from 1910–1932. Reservations requested. Reception follows with map and location. The research completed by the SPD History Book Committee in writing our series of history books “Life Behind The Badge” series, and contact from family members has brought about this special occasion. The SPD History Book Committee is comprised of historians, retired law enforcement personnel, and law enforcement enthusiasts, who have been working for the past nine years in writing this series of books. Duane Broyles, former President of Fairmount Memorial Association, and Denny York, CEO of Fairmount Holding, Inc. and his dedicated staff are responsible for making this event a reality. This is the 18th monument this group has created.
